agree, it seems everyone wants their choice to be exclusively correct and the other a miserable failure. Im guessing both will be be very good for the SEC for quite a few years. After watching many of Utah's games under meyer the last couple of years, regardless the competition, I was impressed at the execution and seemingly cohesion and synergy of a team that comes from excellent coaching. I dont need someone to show me who beats whom or what level players he had, etc. I watch enough football to distinguish a well coached team from a poorly coached one. I didn't get to see many of Les Miles except when he played oklahama usually and I do remember plenty of talented players at skill positions especially on offense. The biggest plus I see for CLM is he is not your typical egomanical coach. He was not afraid to surround himself with people bigger than him and thats odd in today's market. i sure wish florida woulda thought that 2 decades ago before hiring spurrier. There are many instances of coaches from lesser schools making it big. in fact all coaches start from the bottom before working their way up. Everyone should just prepare for Florida to have its usually good teams in the following years regardless the coach. who cares...we need to worry about us.
You must understand that Meyer was best in the WAC/MAC whatever with the MAC/WAC talent. He had players of similar talent as his opponents. He did beat a fairly good T A&M team that held OU close. Maybe, my earlier posts went a bit too far, when I said that Meyer would trash us in Tiger stadium. That might not be true. But Meyer and the Gators will be a force in the SEC. I would play Zook any day over Meyer and play the Vols or Dawgs or the Aubies over the Gators. Coach Miles has pro experience and has coaches in the big leagues. But he has not coached in a team that has really won out. I am not sure about his record in Michingan, but in his days the cowboys were not in their prime. So you never know which way he will go either. Also wonder when Saban had left had Meyer been free and was hired at LSU how many of us would have been less than thrilled about it. Would we have drawn comparison to every coach that failed? The very fact that Meyer gets so much attention at the LSU message board means something. You never hate the coach of an opponent in the SEC unless he is good or doing something right. I mean, how many people hated Zook or Sherrill like the way they hate Tubberville. The more we talk about him the more we elevate him.
well there goes your entire post. I can attest that most everyone here hates tubby for tubby and elevates him none. Win or lose, that tub 'o crap has zero credibility amongst the majority of our fanbase and will never get any. He is talked about because he has zero respect and never will. that's like saying since I hate barry bonds because he's so good. Wrong. I hate him because he's a lying, cheating loser who taints a sport I love. Similar to tubby. both are losers and both are scumbags. Im sure tubby's a cheater too.
