Not with most on this board. You think it's cool to fire a coach averaging 10 wins a season. Mostly because you hate Miles. Like I said before enjoy your new direction.
From the beginning I was never comfortable with Miles. Hard headed sum bitch. I went through some highs and lows but overall he seemed to get lost in the game too often. Being a goofball is never a good trait for coach's personna imo. Would not say he's a bad coach but would've loved to see what a few other coaches like Fisher, would have done with the talent here.
That's the way a lot of folks in Louisiana thought & still think. Most of it has to do with love for Nick Saban. Most all successful coaches are hard-headed though. For instance, his 2005-2008 & 2012-2013 teams were vastly different from some of his other later teams. This 5-6 teams were Pass Heavy teams. He does believe in having the strongest rushing team possible. I never could figure out why our fans wanted to sign all these 4 & 5 Star RBs, then sit them & try to force a passing game, when/ if we don't have a QB who can is capable of taking over a game. BTW, Mettenberger threw the most TD passes in 1 game at LSU, with 5. But...'muh antiquated offense. The fact is that he's in 5th place in All-Time winning coaches in the SEC & 9th place All-Time winning against SEC opponenents. ( SEC coaches with a minimum of 100 wins) Will be interesting to see what Jimbo Fisher can do. He's got fan support, can recruit (cue BDP comments) a ton of new facilities & good working relationship with with his AD. Miles & Alleva had deriorated to not speaking the last 2 years. Took him going around Alleva to get Aranda here.
You're very knowledgeable about our program. I hate to see your appreciation for Miles overshadow your desire to see his predecessor succeed. Let that shit go and get on board. :thumbsup:
WE didn't fire him dumbass. Complaining about a coach who regressed and was finishing 3rd and 4th in the west is justified. But his time had passed. He put an exclamation mark on his legacy after his reprieve. He's responsible for this mess more than anyone. So spare us the woe is Les crap. He's done. Does your diploma say les miles' taint. Mine says lsu. Get your priorities straight.
