I like Del Rio as an actor that would portray the LSU coach in a movie... like an "our coach can kick your coach's azz" thing... but as an actual NCAA coach, I'm not very optimistic that he'd be any good. That link I posted above makes a very good argument that coaches hired from the NFL to coach an NCAA team = failure, unless that coach has previous NCAA head coaching experience (and Del Rio has zero NCAA coaching experience of any kind).
