USC - Del Rio will be the next coach (or Not)

    This is the first mention I've seen of Gruden and the USC job by a major news service:

    SI/CNN: "Former Bucs coach Jon Gruden is a rumored candidate [for the USC job] as well."

    I like Del Rio as an actor that would portray the LSU coach in a movie... like an "our coach can kick your coach's azz" thing... but as an actual NCAA coach, I'm not very optimistic that he'd be any good.

    That link I posted above makes a very good argument that coaches hired from the NFL to coach an NCAA team = failure, unless that coach has previous NCAA head coaching experience (and Del Rio has zero NCAA coaching experience of any kind).
