may be closer than we expect. I wonder the reasoning of Beamer ducking us to play the Paper Trojans....does this mean he thinks they will win this game? I'm baffled why he would drop us for another team they're likely to lose to.

VTech has a history of starting each season very strong.

I look for a Hokie win. It kills me to pull for VTech.

I think with the inexperienced O-line they will struggle early in the season on offense. A couple of big turnovers by USC and this game will be close to the end.

With Winston Justice suspended for the year, and Mike Williams looking like he won't be playing this year, two new receivers, and a fresh secondary, USC looks to be in trouble. Va Tech will dominate the special teams and USC should win by 40-14 or so.

Trojans by 28 points at least...

Pulling for the Hokies, but it's a longshot on and off paper.

If I were to go by the past few seasons, I'd say Va tech is a strong early season team and should be able to hang with USC. When you think about it, Va tech is consistently a top 10 team early in the season. However, that's all history now and it seems Va tech is about ready to settle back down to being an average team at best. With the game being on a neutral site though, and a location that is most favorable for Va tech, perhaps they can work some magic. I am expecting a 2 touchdown game with USC being victorious. Who knows though, this one could be interesting.
