    Re: Using Holday

Does anyone know just how good a receiver he is? I think he was a RB in high school and you have to wonder if he could catch the long ball. His big disadvantage would be height. Flynn would have to lead him just right if he ran past people because if he underthrew him he really couldn't win to many battles for a jump ball. Russell would have been better suited to throw it 75 yards when he flew past people. He is such a small target I wouldn't want to throw it midrange over the middle because you could overthrow him easily and get picked off. I think we will keep the passes short and maybe try a deep one if he can catch them consistently at practice.

You don't want to throw over the middle with him. He's too small and would get lost. Plus he could get seriously hurt by safety T-ing up on him.

Screens, end arounds, wide out and pass to him at line of scrimmage.

I'm thinking, 3 WRs on one side. TH in the middle of them. The DB on TH will probably give him a cushion. Snap the ball, throw to TH have the WR's take their guys out and block TH's guy and off to the races.

Line up the same formation later in the half, but option MF and KW to the opposite side.

I'd like to see a direct snap play or two with his name on it. Maybe on a generic first down in the 1st or 2nd quarter. Will catch VT asleep...they may even burn a TO on it.

    This is in our future....:crystal:

I bet Houston Nutt would have a field day with TH. All the trick stunts he likes to pull.

"I hope to see Holliday used mostly in the second half, especially late. When those defenses are tired and Holliday is fresh, he'll find those gaps to explode through."

FINALLY,,,,,,,,,,,red55 knows what he's talking about. Late in the game will serve LSU and TH well. Timing is key. Just like WVU is using their new speed with that little guy named Devine. The chances of the defense stopping him late in the game goes way down.

I didn't see any highlights of the WVU game. Did Devine play? What did he look like.

The HS vids are incredible. I see the speed of WV and Cal and I would be very nervous playing either of those teams. Well at least their skill players are scarey fast.

Yeah, I was at the game. They played him in the 4th quarter. The kid has really got some moves and he's scary fast. However, he's small. These Wvu games are all I got here, I MISS TIGER STADIUM!!!

Yeah, I used to hang at the Pastime pretty frequently. Who else was a regular? Smiley Anders,,,,,,,,,James Carville's brother,,,,,,,,,the news guy that killed himself, I forget his name (he was a turd), John Mahaffey,,,,,,,and the list goes on. If you stop by there and get a world famous roast beef poboy, tell Randy hello (he and his brother own the joint). MAN, I miss Baton Rouge.

Every time Trindon is on the field he affects the defense.
