I was watching the game Saturday and I just remember telling myself it was so nice not having to listen to that blubbering vern lundqusit. Now if we could just replace Danielson.
Other than getting names and numbers wrong a lot and a gump love that just won't die Gary is really good I find. He knows the game.
That is fair and accurate. I've not heard him talk bad about us, hell I thought he was going to nut his trousers talking about D. White and Delpit. I could see him coming on board, but we have to whip em first.
Gary was worse when Vern the hutt was influencing him... I still remember Reid's interception on the 1yd line and Vern's respond was "oh no".... I was like, dafuq...
By a covenant (*sp convenient) accident music was playing over the beginning of the game. It was left on for the whole game... did not miss one dang thing about the commentating.
I met Verne many years ago when I was working some golf tournaments for CBS. He was a nice guy off camera. Had some good and funny Cowboy stories to tell. And yes he was a little chunky back in the day.
