That's what I don't understand. The official was staring right at it but didn't even through a flag. Total incompetence. He should not be allowed to ref another game.
I don't believe this for a minute. Coaches don't teach this because if it happens very much, there will be retaliation. This was a freshman offensive lineman, frustrated by a an All-American and he just reacted without thinking. It was a cheap shot, for sure, but not something we can hang on Tuberville. In fact, I suspect Wingnut will admonish the player very sternly not to let this krap happen again. Everybody in the nation saw it and Tuberville doesn't want the same thing happening to Groves.

And I agree. But bush league plays like that one on Dorsey, and the judo chop to the neck of Andre Woodson by Tyson Jackson last week are but two examples of players losing their cool, getting frustrated, and then simply just wanting to do something to get in the head of their counterpart.
