I'm stealing this and you can't stop me.

I agree. No one on this forum can say that Coach Saban wasn't a winner. I have questioned some of his techniques in the past put never doubted his motives. Now I'm not saying that Coach Mile's different style will not work just as good if not better.

A Visor can make it hard on the cornerback to see a recievers eyes giving the reciever the advantage that one play could decide the game.

Saban really was a butt...nealry all the players disliked him as a person. They all respected him though, so it evened out. There were going to be 6 or 7 more transfers before Saban left...since he left, all of those players are coming back.

I'm not a fan of the helmet visor, however I don't have a problem with clear visors. Visors protect the players from eye injuries and stuff like that, so it's a useful piece of equipment. I'm not sure if QB's should wear them though, I have no idea if one (even clear) could obstruct a QB's vision. This year a SC player ripped his visor off his helmet during a game because it fogged up (it was raining during the game), it made the Sportscenter highlights. They showed him changing helmets after the visor and face mask were screwed up from him pulling on it.

I put shaded visors in the same class as multiple wristbands, 3' pants towels, and using tape as decoration, in terms of players trying to seperate themselves from the team using the uniform. It's a low level kind of problem, and most fans could careless about this stuff . . . but sometimes when it goes too far or creates a problem the NCAA will vote on a rule.

It's not a big deal, but I assume at some point there will be an official ruling on visor equipment. Next year the refs are supposed to crack down on uniform infractions, stuff like missing pads, pants too short, and other uniform related rules.

This is not the first time visors have been used in the NCAA. Back in the mid 50's, some teams wore visors across the front of the helmet in place of a face mask. If you ever see any pictures from the Texas AM junction boys team, they wore those old style face mask visors.

Got a source for this ugly rumor? Want to name the non-transfers? Or is this just what you should have called "a personal opinion", or possibly "a wild-ass speculation"?

Being somone that wears sunglasses al lthe time I wonder how the humidity in Tiger Stadium would affect the fogging of the visors. Probably a problem Maybe that has something to do with it. Appears we will find out soon enough.

There are products you can put on your glasses that will prevent them from fogging. In fact Rain-X makes a product that you can put on the inside of your car windshield which will do the same thing.
