By the way, I can only believe you are repeating exact quotes to all of us. They are not just a bit exaggerated at all.
you just are so into this dude that no matter what I say, you gonna be on me: You said: 1. People wanted to play for Saban: -NOT TRUE: People want to play for LSU in Death Valley. 2. Saban was a winner: -True: He is the best coach LSU has had, but he also inherited and offense with Rohan Davey and Josh Reed, that's not a bad foundation. 3. Saban was a players-first coach: -Not True: He really put his players first when he told them ON CHRISTMAS DAY that he was leaving them: He was as good as we have ever had, but I think that Les Miles will prove that you can do all the things he did without being as hardcore as he was.
Got a source for this? I'm calling Bullchit on this unsubstantiated rumor. Sure, chief, the best coach in the country was going to play the best quarterback recruit in the country at safety. I don't think you know a damn thing about it.
I love it! Everything I have ever reported on this site has been right, but you guys need a link for EVERYTHING: Saban told Ryan that he was a great athlete and should play instantly, so he should play safety... It shouldn't surprise you: Laron Landry did the same thing
Not true. I am "on you" because of comments like this: Blanket statements are never wise...... He certainly did. The players are the only ones he made a point of telling anything. He told the players, once they were all together. He did not tell the fans, back in Baton Rouge, before telling the players. Again, he put the players first and did not cater to the fans. I sense bitterness. Indeed. Every tiger fan hopes this will be the case. Time will tell but things sure are looking good. For instance, Miles just signed a great QB that will replace Russell once he graduates. :yelwink2: :thumb:
You dont get it: AS A COACH i KNOW HE IS GREAT! I have said that EVERY message.... It is just you don't see the other side of the spectrum... and that is that he isnt as nice as the Saint Nick that LSU fans think of And I know he told his players first, but he told them on Christmas day? That's kind of messed up to tell your players on that day that a 4-12 NFL team is more valuable than them... But it's awesome man! I understand what you are saying and I agree with some of it! I just think that you don't get that I KNOW he is a good coach
Since you know everything, I assumed you realized that Christmas Day was the first time the entire team had been together in quite a while due to the holidays. Many of them were not in Baton Rouge for the flight to Orlando. The entire team reported to Orlando for a specific time. In fact the press conference was even delayed a bit because he waited for everyone to get there. So he could address the team as a whole and address any concerns or comments they had.
