Here's a quote from vol nations board. "I believe the blown call by the refs on the Russell fumble is what done us in. But, I do agree that we missed way to many tackles..."
I'd like to slap the "so-called" LSU fans talking smack about their own team on another teams site. Someone with some computer skills, get me this guys address. I'll go over and stomp on him some.
He was asked something like what were they going to do differently in the second half and he responded we are going to play our ass off or something real close to that. Hopefully someone with Tivo will post a clip but that's at least real close to what was said.
Was at the game. A seating attendant told me that "This is the bible belt" "We don't like profanity in our stadium" During pre game when they were announcing the Vols player names individually it was being followed by "Sucks" from the student section. Pretty funny. Even the Vol fans were laughing. I think some of the Vol fans need to lighten up.
Personally, I was happy to find out that he was "spitting fire" for that interview! ...and all those that say he never shows emotion should be happy about it as well. Miles had a right to be pissed. He has seen, in each of our 3 road games, the officials shaft us on critical calls. This game, was the muffed punt by UT that would have given us a TD but they ruled otherwise dispite visual evidence that supported a change in the ball's flight after it touched a Vol. We had 8 penalties at halftime where UT hand NONE! I know the majority of our penalties were false start--and that's our fault--but you're telling me that UT had NOTHING?!? At that point in time, Miles was beside himself and I can guarantee you that he'll be filing yet another letter to the head of SEC officials today or tomorrow (and it will probably be ignored by the SEC--like every other time someone has gripped to them.....freak'n Commies!)
I heard the "classless" and "tacky" comments last night from a friend that is an OU fan. I had to bite my tongue! That, coming from a fan of a team with a HC that whines and gets snotty. I wanted to tell him to refer to the 03 Sugar Bowl half-time interview with Poops before he called my coach classless.
I don't think Miles committed a mortal sin, but I do like a more civil conversation. We'll have the kind of society we make with our words and actions. Once is enough. I don't like Tiger Woods statements either. He gets "pissed" off too much for my taste. You can have emotion, just don't spew it all over in a national interview on TV. There's a time and a place for everything, and that was not the right place. I'll give Miles this "one".
