Upon arriving to campus for the VT game this year...there were a bunch of college age kids in VT garb in the parking lot. "What the hell is a Hokie anyway?!" I yelled.

"It's an Ass-kickin' Chicken!" one of the kids said.

We gave homeboy and his boys a beer.

After we got done with them, I decided that a hokie was a neutered turkey.

Actually, someone told me that during the day. I spent the entire game yelling "Geaux neutered turkeys!!!"

CParso thinks BC will win, and you think VT will win - that's not agreeing with him. :)

Also, a VT win helps us in the computer polls as well, not just in the human polls.

This game has route written all over it....Not having taylor playing is gonna hurt but still the defense will step up and i'm pretty sure there will be some big plays made on special teams as always for vt.

I like Tech. BC isn't battle-tested yet. If they somehow pull out a W tonight, I might start giving them some respect.

from watching both, I agree with stacey. something is missing from this bc team. they are unimpressive in games Ive seen even against weak teams.

the x factor is matt ryan, your likely first qb taken in the draft. he can make all the throws and is impressive. similar to a s.miss team with favre. when you have a great talent at qb, he can carry you in a close game and that may be the case here.

intangibles and special teams are on the hokies' side at home but there is the glennon factor. he's not good and Im going to count on him blowing this one himself.

bc is a methodical, fundamental team who is unimpressive yet they get the job done. even though I think va tech is the better overall team Ill go with ryan.

choosing a scrub qb to win a close matchup is often futile. it usually bites you in the ass when the defenses are strong.

Va Tech is something like 13-2 on Thursday nights, 8-1 at home.

Both losses were to Boston College.

I'm wearing my "Hokies United" T-shirt I picked up from some guy after we pasted them in Baton Rouge.

I see alot of potential upset losses in the top 10 this weekend and am hoping that this one is the first.

Not one for making predictions. And hopeful that VT can help out LSU with the upset win. But my wife is from MA and is a BC and Flutie fan. I have a feeling that even with limited offense the Turkeys will hold a 10-0 lead until the last four minutes or so. They will switch from pressuring Ryan to the prevent defense and play not to lose football. Give up TD and botch the ensuing onside kick. Once again play soft zone and give up game winner with about 11 seconds left.IMO:tigereye: :geauxtige :helmet:
Besides my wife is also a LSU fan and she is hopeful for BC&LSU to meet in NC game as she says "she'll be happy with turnout of game either way", but she believes BC would be in for long night vs LSU.:milesmic:
