    That would be an improvement.

While I'll say I'm not surprised, it is a little sad. I think you can paint a picture for him to go or stay honestly. If he was committed to playing the game in college one more year, I think he could sneak into the first round--if he was committed to losing some more weight and being patient. At the same time, he was probably a second rounder last year, and now he's a second rounder this year.

What I'll also say is that there is no way any of us know the backdrop of this kid's life. Besides Deek's typical slap at Brady, we all know that Big Baby had some personal issues this season. He may feel he's ready for the pro game regardless of where he'll be drafted, and often we don't know who is giving him advice or what his motivations are. I'll give him props (unlike Bass tho') for coming back and supporting the team this year.

If true, good luck, Big Baby. Kill 'em in the pre draft workouts.

That mock has Davis going to Chicago to hook back up with Tyrus.

That's interesting. Wonder if that combo would work in the association...

Those draft sites arent very reliable. They'll have players at 15th in 2007 and a week later they will be a 2nd rounder in '08. Their scouting reviews are better, though.

I don't know what frame of mind he has been in, but if his head has not been right, this is not a good time for him to be making that kind of a decision.

    Nope.

I don't know if he would improve as a player if he stayed another year, but barring injury, his draft stock would improve. This is an exceedingly deep draft, with at least 8 more impact players at the top than usual.

I imagine he'll get into the second round with some decent workouts and better interviews. Hell, Oliver Miller played in the league for a few years.

That reminds me of one of Charles Barkley's best quotes: "The only way Oliver Miller is going to get up for a rebound is if there's a Big Mac on the rim."

he was a much better post defender.

glen better keep working on that j because he has to be able to hit 15-20 footers consistently to have a chance in the league.

but it would be a helluva lot easier for him to stick around and get his degree.

Exactly what I was thinking, mediocrity would be a big step in the right direction.
