Good point. The LSU guys should pay attention to TigerForums (and specifically, me) as I'll give them the straight scoop. I'm almost always in favor of guys going pro. However, in the Association, there's a monumental difference between 1st and 2nd round. A player needs to be pretty damned sure that either he'll go in the first round or wouldn't move into the first round with staying in school.
wow! never heard that. sux. are college players not allowed to talk directly to nba personnel--scouts, gms, etc?
generally, the coaches have informations sent to them from scouts and they discuss it with the player.
ESPN reports he's gone. http://sports.espn.go.com/ncb/news/story?id=2797194&campaign=rss&source=ESPNHeadlines
Davis denies NBA draft reports -- 11:25 a.m. http://media.www.lsureveille.com/me...nies.Nba.Draft.Reports.1125.A.m-2774081.shtml
I heard a few sources of mine say he would test the waters during the NBA camps this summer and not hire an agent until he knew for sure it was the right decision and recieved some assurance from the NFL scouts and coaches. He might very well go if he performs well during the camps but I doubt he will prematurely hire an agent.
I'm pretty sure that he went to those summer draft camps and then pulled out of the draft once already. I think that's a one time deal. Otherwise, guys would be testing the waters every year.
Brady has released a statement about calling NBA scouts and Glenn is following NCAA rules with interviews with potential representation. A press conference is in the works next Wensday. Sounds like he is going to make a quick decision and turn pro. LINK
