I'm saving all this, boys, I still have my own installation job to do. Been waiting for cool weather before getting into that damn attic.

Hell no. We just got the floors finished a couple of days ago. Then we had to work. And this weekend is my only weekend off for two weeks, and I'm in Baton Rouge. Hopefully I can get started Wednesday or Thursday.

    Btw, that looks pretty sweet.

Not gonna mount mine near fireplace, but is there not concern about having those high tech electronics over the fireplace? I would think that would be somewhat iffy?

I don't know. My wife told me yesterday that we're not putting it over the fireplace because it'll hurt her neck with trying to look up that high. So, we're gonna spend a shyt ton of money and get a really nice entertainment center. She wants an Ikea, but those bytches are high priced. Wal-Mart bound.

Build one yourself. A lot nicer and 1/4 the money. :thumb:

It's a high mount if the room is small. If you are sitting over 12 feet away it's not bad at all. Mine will be facing the two recliners which lean back anyway. The view from the couch, closer and off to one side, is not as good, but I rarely have a full room of TV viewers anyway.

I don't gots no skills.. or tools. And I bet those are two important things to have when building stuff :hihi:

The couch is kinda close. But I don't think it woulda been that bad. Just didn't wanna argue with the force this week.

Actually I build my own custom built-in entertainment center and it costs more than you'd think. Between nice hardwoods, trims, stains, paint, hardware, and supplies the costs add up quick. Not to mention the time commitment. The nice part is you get exactly what you want. You really need to have the right tools too.
