Transplanted Cajun in Spring Texas who wants to join the Cajun Navy. Grew up in New Iberia fishing and hunting in the Basin and still do now have boats and want to help now and in the future.

Does anyone have a contact I can call?

It's just anybody with a boat who shows up on their own initiative to help their fellow humanity. Sounds like you're already in.

I've seen resistance to anyone attempting to establish a centralized organization, group and/or command structure.

FWIW, I hear they use the Zello app quite a bit.

Go to the iPhone app store and search "Zello", I don't know if the have a Google or Android version.
    It's basically a walkie-talkie type app.

I don't have an iPhone. I've never owned an Apple device.

Any particular reason why? I haven't either, but I'm not opposed to it. Wife and kids all have have iPads and iPhones. I have a Galaxy phone and love it. I don't have a tablet, but use the wife's occasionally. I travel a lot for work and am looking for a new laptop for personal use. I've narrowed it down to either a MacBook Pro or Microsoft Surface Pro. Any thoughts?
    (Sorry for the thread jack)

Because they are expensive is the real reason and he's a tight ass. Microsoft sucks. Just say no.

Not really any reason except that androids do everything i need and costs less. I have had Galaxy phones mostly for a few years with thr exception of an H T C that I didn't really like. Have an android tablet I don't use much. Been using windows for 25 years and i don't do anything that is Mac specific lime graphic design or anything like that. I played with an iPhone recently to set it up with apps for a friend we'll just call Fred Flintstone. I didn't like tat there was only one button. That made it harder to toggle fronlm one app or websute to another.

My surface pro is great as a tablet but it'd you want to do anything that takes horsepower forget it. I have to shutdown certain other apps when I need to use visio.
