Well, a couple weeks ago a pit bull chewed the head off of an 80 year old woman and had her Yorkie for a snack about 3 blocks from my house. I'm not usually this guy but I think it's time to eliminate the breed.
My next door neighbor had a very friendly cat that would come over sometimes and I would give him something to eat. When I didn't see him for a few weeks I asked my neighbor where he was. She said 2 pit bulls killed him.
Gotta say, I'm surprised to hear you say that. I've never owned a pit, but I know people that have and swear they're the sweetest dogs ever. Then again, you hear all of the horror stories like the one you mentioned. I'm not sure it's right to eliminate the entire breed based on what other pits have done or what could happen. I think it goes back to being a responsible owner. Kind of like owning a gun.
