I will also say this, its a hard job and I am sure no matter how he plays it some will hate him. I just have not found the person that does like him yet.... And I have talked fans of other teams here and there when watching games on CBS, they all think the same thing. So that just tells me he is just bad at his job, too negative.
He was an Ole Piss grad, but he was money as a play by play guy. Then he had the unfortunate moment when he called Hollie Rowe 'sweetheart' on the air, she bitched about it, and they fired him. Maybe they should have suspended him, but I think firing him for that was over the top. I also like Sean McDonough's play by play. He's best when doing college football. I think he does the SEC on ESPN now with Todd Blackledge. They're a pretty good team. Brad Nessler used to be right up their and took Verne's spot, but I think he's slipped a bit.
I wonder how she's doing, I know her cancer came back and she had chemo.... she looked pretty good Saturday.
And how much of that is dictated by the Green jackets. They play by their own rules. CBS brass has to do a lot of ass kissing to keep the broadcast rights.
Danielson seems like he's had a hard-on for LSU for a long time, but he delivered one of my favorite lines ever while we were beating Oklahoma for the NC.
