It will be interesting to see what the Cowboys do tomorrow night. JJ has said more than once that he won't tolerate what he considers disrespect for the flag and/or anthem.
No....Trump did the same thing you and I and everyone in this forum and Colin Kaepernick did....make a statement. I know you would like to think Trump is making it about Trump, but the truth is, it is the anti-Trump crowd that is making everything about Trump. That's why, now that he has expressed an opinion, it has exploded into a league-wide issue. Literally hundreds of NFL players changed their anthem posture today. Why do you think that is? Drew Brees stood with his hand over his heart today, just as he has been doing every time I've seen a shot of him during the anthem during his career. Is it suddenly a different statement today than it was last year, or even last week?
But those who did serve did so for everyone to have the freedom to wipe their ass with a flag if they want to, right?
They did him wrong, no doubt. However, a lot of the media did support him. On the other hand, imagine the backlash from the christian right if someone of another religious affiliation wanted to pray in their religious manners.
I don't understand how they think taking a knee during the anthem is accomplishing anything. Forgive me if I'm wrong, but can anybody give me 1 single positive thing that's been accomplished by this kneeling since Kaepernick started it a year ago?
