Was this loss the one to push us over the edge?

I guess the general feeling among Tiger fans is frustration and disappointment partlcularly in view of the talent and expectations of the team. That's what led to the emotional uproar on these boards. I still think LSU has a good football team  , and it's impertinent that they continue on concentrating and fixing the problem.

I don't see anything here as "Over the edge"

I post my opinions, thoughts, and ideas as I see fit within the rules and don't give a shat if anyone agrees with em or not.

I want other posters to know if I'm totally pissed or not and I for one enjoy reading the give and take on the tigahs.

This is a discussion/opinion board ain't it? What better thing than a whole plethora of fire cluLES, JR sucks, play RP/MF, Nobody loves us, Granny holtz is senile, the seasons over etc.... rants

If I want a discussion I couch it as a question for other posters to mull over and post their thoughts.

Some responses are bad, some wise, some profane, and some hillarious. I make it a point to filter out personal attacks/flames if I pissed someone off.

    I leave them be.

I'm not about to take offense or get into a ridiculous squabble or get my drawers in a bunch over it.

Some of us I guess put too much psychic energy in a game played by very young men prone to mistakes anyway, but it is what it is.

Undying Passion for a thing can make us all a little loony sometimes I guess, myself included.

I didn't play the game, but I don't think that disqualifies me in any way because I'm not a rocket scientist either but I think I know what they are suppose to generally do when you light em up.

Now I still think a long hard look needs to be taken at Russell for folding his tent in another big game. He has played the game for a long time now and besides a sometimes accurate cannon arm what else does he bring to the table that negates the others even being considered. I was ecstatic when he signed his LOI, now I can't wait til he signs his pro contract. Hey, it's the way I FEEL no malice intended.

Stacy Searels(O-Line coach) needs a kick in the arse for lack of runblocking/running game which might have helped disguise JRs Flaws better.
When you think about it, if everybody you play is stacking eight or nine plus the waterboy, towel girl, and assisstant trainer at the line of scrimage that has got to tell you something about what they think of your QB's and WRs ability to dominate a game. After the first three instances of that I would have been calling MIT for a solution if I think they had one. Obviously in Searels case Pride goeth before the fall. To stubborn to change/adapt I guess.

Peveto, (special teams coach) now there's a guy who needs to be burning the midnight oil.

The coaching staff had better take a long hard look in the mirror about preparation, game plans, proper use of personel, attention to detail, and discipline or sooner or later they will be shown the door. Now that they have made the big time college show, maybe they haven't fully considered what it will take for them to stay there and are now just coasting collecting that nice paycheck. Or maybe they are simply incompentent in their assigned duties.

I guess only time will tell which. Have fun, life is way too short:thumb:

I think everyone is misunderstanding the meaning of the term "over the edge." I meant it to mean that we were walking a tight rope with the two sides of the coaching battle, and this loss caused a lot of conflict.

I'm sure it has happened many times in the past, but this is my first time truly seeing it.

I just see no reason for me to post about it, and was commenting on the state of the boards.

I went to an auburn board to see what they were saying, and they are disappointed. One guy there said he had come to an LSU board and a Georgia board, and that the Auburn, Georgia and LSU boards all looked the same. You could take a post and change the name of the team, and it would play right along! Probably true.

This will pass. We lost to #2, and #5. Maybe those sports writers aren't so dumb after all.

    Except for Arkansas.

Y'all got double whammied last weekend. The world was still aligned until the Razorbacks pulled the upset. Had Auburn won, they and Florida would have been # 2 and # 3, perhaps, for their game this week, (you know how the media creates power match-ups!!)... and even with your loss to the Gators you wouldn't have dropped so dramatically.
The Arkansas win has the media now thinking, "Is this just a bunch of good teams without any great teams?"

Arkansas' not getting out of this without two losses. It's just one of those years. Hang in there, win out, things will take care of themselves.
