We have failed in recruiting on defense it does appear. I don't see anybody "evolving" into a top flight player except for Kwon Alexander and Tre White.
Anybody else agree with me that Ego and Freak are WAAAAAY overrated. I don't like to believe that, but it's true. Freak made the great play and bless his heart, but these two guys were non-existent all game long otherwise. It they were as good as advertised, they would be causing havoc in the backfield, playing side by side. Maybe Hunter eventually. Loston is just a waste. It's almost like playing with only 10 players.
You need others to help you out to function on a line. Johnson is facing double teams all game. No pash rush. Our LB's are pitiful. Welter doesn't deserve to be a SEC LB. Barrow is overrated and Qwon is probably the best LB on our team. Loston first team AA. Laughable.
I don't think Freak and Ego are demanding double teams very often to be honest. And that's part of the problem.
I agree. I think the dreads got in their eyes or something. ALL DAY. I'll be glad when this fad goes away, and they use their heads for something other than a fashion statement.
