    Forget the BCS...we all know it sucks. The Tigers need to focus on Ole Miss and not worry about what happens through to the end of the season.

    A Tigers win this week and an Ohio State loss and I think things will take care of themselves.

    I agree but have to say this. I can deal with USC & OSU being ranked ahead of us in the conventional polls. I can deal with the lack of a strong OOC schedule. I can deal with being 4th in the BCS. But, being ranked 11th in ANY poll is just wrong. That should prompt an investigation. The New York Times poll reminds me of the the old Dave Petitjean story about the Red Bull that drowned: "Anybody that don't know the difference between a ship's horn and a bull with a bugle up his ass don't deserve to be Chief of Police".

    I dunno... even if all that happens, you think we'd jump USC (even if they win out)?:(

    Hellllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!!!!!
    Just looked at USC's latest SOS values--->37th @ 1.48 points----> and rising. USC will not have less than 8 BCS Points in the December 10th Final Poll.
    Scenario where LSU goes to the Sugar Bowl
    USC ranked #3 in both polls-----------------> 3.0
    USC has 18 points in 6 Computer polls----> 3.0
    USC has one loss to California---------------> 1.0
    USC SOS has them at 37th @1.48-----------> 1.5
    Quality wins =------------------------------------>-0.1
    USC Totals----------------------------------------->8.4
    LSU "MAGIC BCS NUMBER" is now 8 or less.
    If.......If........If ifs were skiffs, we'd all go for a boat ride, lol.
    STEP #1
    If... LSU can get to #2 in AP/ESPN polls (LSU must pummel teams)
    STEP #2
    If... LSU can drop their SOS to #40 or below to 1.5 points (project)
    STEP #3
    If... LSU has a 3.5 or less Computer poll average (projected 3.33)
    Step #3
    Final BCS Computer polls Top 5 (Projected)
    A&H--->OK, USC, LSU, ?, ?
    RB----->OK, USC, LSU, ?, ?
    CM---->OK, USC, LSU, ?, ?
    KM---->OK, LSU, USC, ?, ?
    JS----->OK, USC, MIA, LSU, ?
    NYT---------------->Garbage Poll has us #11 (throw out 1)---->5-6
    PW----------------->OK, another garbage poll has us at #9--->5
    3 + 3 + 3 + 2 + 4 + 5 (one of the garbage polls, 5 =best score)
    20 total / 6 = @ 3.5 (3.33) Final Computer poll ranking
    FINAL BCS POLL PROJECTED LSU STANDINGS (2)
    2.0 Final AP/ESPN Computer poll ranking
    3.5 Final Computer poll ranking
    1.0 From the lone LSU loss to Florida
    1.5 Assume SOS "Miracle" (we get to #35. now at #72 @2.88 pts)
    -.5 We are now @ 0.5 ... this could rise with a Tennessee win

    This scenario has LSU at just below 7.5 points.
    USC would be at 8.4 points.
    IF...............LSU is ranked #2 in only one major poll, we add 1/2 point and they gain ... very close and nearly a Tie @ 8 points

    LSU has a new theme for the rest of the year.
    "EIGHT" skate and donate. Time to put on our best "poker faces"

    The New York Times picked Auburn to be #1.
    I read somewhere.

    So I don't give them any credibility
