Agreed any cheer with the "words" "flim flam" and "bim bam" in it is just not right. However, someone on this forum pointed out to me that "flim flam" actually is a phrase having to do with drumming. I "Tiger Baited" an Aubrun fan in 2003, very politely of course. He response was did I know that AU was also the Tigers. I told him yes, but LSU is the real Tiger and our tiger eats eagles. Well, I don't think "Geaux Tigers" is going away anytime soon as a greeting between Tiger fans. But new slogans are always needed for signs and such.
I travel a lot and Geaux Tigers works fine all over the country. Here in Dallas I get to see Texas fans flash each other the hook 'em sign to each other in the stop and go traffic. Frankly, it sort strikes me as a limp tradition that I can do without.
No other team says "how bout dem tigahs". I say we stick with that but lately I have noticed that it isnt said enough.:geauxtige
