How accurate of a picture do you get of the offensive coordinator when you're looking at
The QB, his passes, along with the drops, and the throw aways, and of course the completions. "When clean?" Perhaps I'm alone here but this a "stat" I find pretty useless. Literally, two of the factors in the *formula* are subjective; drops and throw aways.
This is both rich and ironic.
Last year around this same time one thing that was repeatedly pointed out was "Ensminger isn't the guy for the spread offense concept." You made your judgements on that opinion and certainly didn't welcome evidence.
It's no coincidence we're seeing what we're seeing. It's the same result as we saw in 2008 when Ensminger was given the reigns to an offense. As succinctly and respectfully as it could be that was pointed out, to you, here.
And now we're seeing what I'll call the " / thread " quote ...
from page two, tiga's post/link.
By Ensminger's own admission:
BTW I have no agrument that E and O wanted some help and both admitted it. To me that's a positive about both coaches not a negative. New offensive schemes and play calling are 2 different things and I trust E with the play calling. E has been LSU's OC only twice once as interim in 2016 and last year as a fulltime OC. In 2016 our offense set records and last year we improved to 10-3 and #6 in the final polls. The numbers tell the story.
Orgeron said he went to Ensminger in the offseason and said, “We’ve got to go to the spread. He said, ‘I agree. Let’s get somebody who knows it and let them put it in.’ ”
