    It's not the secondary that needs the major improvement, it's our nickel/dime and linebacker play in passing down situations. That's what is hurting us.

    Our corners and safeties are playing mighty fine.

    Sunshine pumper.

    I have to admit though. I feel a lot better about the Florida game now than I did before the season started.

    Georgia has never worried me, nor am I drinking the Alabama kool-aid (mainly because I didn't think Georgia was as good as they were ranked to begin with). Oregon State didn't jump up so high after beating the #1 team in the nation . . . this is a Nick Saban / Alabama thing. Not an actual gauge of how good a team really is.

    I'm ranting. Sorry. Point is, I think I agree with Isl, Auburn and Florida hold the key to how successful LSU will be. We pasted one of those.

    My only concern is that maybe hurricane gustav robbing us of a later bye week is going to come back to hurt us injury wise just like in '05.

    I don't see y'all losing any of the three games between SC, Georgia or UF. All three teams have more weaknesses than y'all do and not a one of their defensive lines can match up (competively) with y'alls OL.

    SC doesn't have a qb and we all know they're not going to just be able line up and run it down y'alls throats an entire game and expect to win.

    Georgia's OL is young and depleted will not be able to match up with the DL rotation y'all usually implement during a course of a game. I'm not sure about the health of their defense but I do know that in our game there were injuries on that side of the ball.

    UF just doesn't seem to be clicking. They got beat at home by Ole Miss, Arky hung in there with them for more than a half last weekend and something just doesn't look right with them.

    There's no reason y'all shouldn't come out of this three game stretch undefeated unless y'all get in y'alls own way and stumble.

    Black, Ciron OT 327
    Johnson, Herman OG 386
    Helms, Brett C 278
    Hitt, Lyle OG 289
    Barksdale, Joseph OT 315
    Avg =319

    I know, Big Herm tilts the Avg a bit. But Helms and Hitt are precision blockers while Barksdale is in process of becoming another Ciron Black.

    Florida is one of the two games I picked LSU to lose this year (the other being Georgia). Hope I am wrong.
