While reading an article today, I was introduced to yet another "fireacoach".com. Introducing, www.firejackiesherrill.com . The interesting thing is, if you look at the "stats" portion of the website, you begin to wonder why they expect a coach to win there. There isn't a history of it...period. Of course, there are the other sites we've known about: www.fireronzook.com , www.firedavidcutcliffe.com (which has an interesting link to www.saveolemiss.com ...did you know that Colonel Reb was based on a black man that was a big Ole Miss fan?) and www.firecoachfulmer.com (they actually have a banner begging Fulmer to give them a reason to shut down the site...) We need to start a site for Saban...we could call it: www.SportsWritersShutUpAboutTheNFL.com
He was a blind black guy back in the 50's (I think) that used to sell candy to the students on campus during the week and would dress up as the Col., and was on the sidelines with the team on gamedays. His name was Jim. My friend's grandmother told us about that this weekend. She's an Ole Miss alumn. Needless to say she's throughly pissed about the getting rid of the Col.
I'm glad no LSU fan has felt the need to do that...yet. We really need to buy www.HireSabanForDaBears.com and put a huge "BLOW WIND IN YOUR CITY WITHOUT OUR COACH" banner on it.
