My service finally posted our game after all the turmoil We are pretty big underdogs LSU +4 vs. Ducks Other lines of Interest Miss State -29.5 vs Memphis Auburn -20.5 vs Utar State Bama -38 vs Kent State (Should be a good one) Arky is playing a DII school so no line Ole Miss +3 vs BYU - Interesting UGA +3.5 vs Boise Interesting that 3 SEC teams are underdogs in week 1
I am a Duck fan and I have little confidence the Ducks will beat LSU. (I had a dream a few weeks ago that LSU was leading the ducks 99-0 in the 4th quarter.) But.... I am confident that Boise will beat Georgia. I think Georgia is the most over rated team in the country. They lost 15 starters from a team that lost to Colorado last year. And Colorado was BAD last year. Segarin's computer ranked Georgia #58 in the country at the end of the year. I know you SEC people don't respect Boise, but us Duck fans are forced to. They are the only team in the last 3 years to beat us at home. Kellen Moore is absurdly good and Coach Peterson (a former Oregon coach) always gets the most out of his players. BYU plays very unpredictably, sometimes they play like an elite team, sometimes like scrubs, so I have no idea how they will do vs Old Miss.
My thoughts exactly. Bama game as a reminder starts at 11:30 central on the ESPN sister of networks. Don't hate yourself in the morning. I think Ole Miss is knee deep in it. This ain't Jax St. and they were good enough. Hoping for Georgia on this one. No love lost, just a vote against the insidious "fly in the ointment" loving Tim Brando picking nerd.
Georgia might be really good for a couple of games. They have some very talented front line players, but they have no depth. As soon as injuries start to take their toll they will probably fall out of contention for a while, but if they were to win their first two games, the schedule eases up a bit for about five weeks. Georgia is still at least a year or two away from being really competitive again, but they should come out strong. Crowell has everybody talking here in Athens, but he's already hurt with a groin injury and those things can take a lot out of a season. The players really like him a lot so he will probably eventually leave his mark. I think their season this year depends a lot on him.
Georgia is a very tough team to peg right now. Everyone wants to give Richt the benefit of the doubt, and he has a pretty decent QB in Murray. Their defense was overlooked all year. They were just one of those teams that just couldn't seem to win a close game. The UGA players know that Richt's job hangs on this season, and the season hangs on winning their first two games.
