Greetings from cold Seattle. I'm a tired and relieved Trojan tonight. Not what I would have hoped for but it is what it is. You're clearly playing the best football in the country right now so here's an early congrats on what I expect the polls will reflect. All eyes will be on you next Saturday. Make it a good one. :thumb:
Thanks Vball, where have you been? I have to admit LSU didnt play it best in the stretch from the 2nd half of the SC game and the 1st half of Tulane. But it proved a thing to me. Even on our off game, we can still come from behind or hold on to a lead. And our depth is scary. I mean our backups can field a division 1 team, maybe top 25 considering some of the young guy are as good as it gets in college football. BTW, Perrilloux wont win 4 Heismen, but he'll get one before he leaves LSU. His arm is scary! (Although he missed on both throws, but the way he threw it was NFL-like)
I'd be a little surprised if LSU took #1 this weekend. I'm much more interested in how we play the rest of the season, though I wouldn't mind nabbing the #1 spot.
I surf tons of forums.. and the majority of the people who still had USC as #1 after we played VT have now switched to LSU... I still think USC might lose 2 games this year... so either way we will be #1 sooner or later... Just keep winning boys.. the accolades will follow...
I just think we need to worry about LSU winning, it doesn't matter to me about the other teams. I hope the teams just gets together before the game on Saturday. I don't wanna have to start drinking at breakfast.
This weekend once again proved that on any given Saturday, a team can still suffer a letdown to an average team. Oklahoma and Colorado could play 10 games, and Oklahoma would probably win 9 out of 10. deserves to be #1 at this point. But Miles had better keep the team from letting it go to their heads because Florida and Kentucky are going to be bringing their best shots.
