but, to discuss the issue at hand, Smoke took a program at NLU over from St Amant that was struggling and made them a contender and got them deep into the regionals one year (almost beat LSU if I recall). Smoke is not a bad coach, he just will never meet the expectations of Tiger fans.......which are high because he is Skip's guy. It is probably time for a change, but I would not be shocked to see Smoke do something big at another school.
