Our spelling of the word "go" makes us the 3rd most obnoxious fan base in the country? More so than the Tomahawk Chop or the Gator chomp (performed to music about a shark, not a gator, no less). And quick poll, how many of you out there consider Tulane our big rival?
not me. I would go w/ Auburn. Tulane was a big deal when I was a kid in the late 60's, early 70's, but certainly not now. My favorite button back then said "Tuck Fulane!"
That's annoyed me for 20 years, and I've found if you mention it to a Gaytor fan, they look at you like you're speaking a foreign language.
She has a bit of a point that our traditional rivals Tulane and Ole Miss suck but that's not really our fault. Our program took a turn for the better in the new millenium and theirs didn't. I think most LSU fans would consider Auburn to probably be our biggest rival now, with Florida and the other elite SEC teams not too far behind. Traditionally this was not the case but you usually end up being rivals with teams that are around as good as you and for the past 8-9 years that means Auburn and Florida.
