Vanity is one of the seven deadly sins. Most politicans put themselves above everyone else. They see themselves as better than everyone else. Self love above the love of God is vanity , in a biblical sense. The bible says vanity is a sin so by default God doesn't like it.
Im sure he likes deion sanders otherwise he wouldnt have let him be so successful. hes even going to let lebron win it all this year after that charade ceremony to anoint the city with his presence. if god hated vanity, he would let poor dirk win it all. i mean this dude never says anything. But alas, its not to be. The look at me group is going to take it all and possibly win a handful of titles. poor dirk, still nothing. so i think gods ok with accentuating your own greatness. you are just an extension of him anyhow. hes probably tired of all the incessant praise for thousands of yrs. as im sure that got old long ago. he probably only notices when people give him a day off anyhow and thus, rewards them handsomely for it. lebron does give an occasional shout out after a great performance for making him uber-talented and that seem to be enough. he doesnt overdo it or clutter up the phone lines. i wonder if stupid people with no skills should be thankful. ie, what should i do.
