I had to work tonight and didn't get to see the second half. If it wasn't mentioned, LF is now up to 2,386 career yards. He moved past Rondell Mealey, LaBrandon Toefield and Charles Scott tonight and into 7th on the career rushing list. He needs 131 to pass Terry Robiskie and 191 to pass Joseph Addai and move into the top 5. It should also be mentioned that LF has done this in 20 games. None of the 6 still ahead of him played fewer than 40.
Thank you my good Bama friend called last night after our game , asked if I wanted to make it easy . All I have to do is pay the bet early. I asked him if he wanted to make it easy on himself , he asked "How " I said "Double the bet " Then I said "GEAUX TIGERS " I won last night , good game but the D make me a bit over worried and from what I read after I got in TF's I am not the only one GEAUX !! TIGERS!!!!
Save your prediction for game day. Don't do anything to mess with the ju-ju you've got going for you. Unless you plan on picking Bama.
Amazing stuff LF is doing. On another note though, looking at the season and career rushing leaders at LSU especially since the 80's confirms how mucg depth we've had at RB. Damn near every one of these guys had to wait their turn before getting a whole lot of carries. I think LF, Vincent and Broussard might be the only ones who got significant carries their freshman seasons.
Charles Alexander would have a lot more yards, but he played behind Terry Robiskie for two years and was an All-American the other two. Alexander and Robiskie were the best 1-2 punch at tailback that LSU ever had.
Maybe, but not the way it is going. Robiskie and Alexander shared carries much more equitably. Robiskie started but Alexander sometimes got more carries.
We've had a lot of great RB groups but in my opinion we've had so many trio's or quartet's that it is hard to really rate them because of the number of carries that got. It isn't often that we had a Robiske/Alexander, Hilliard/James, Davis/Rogers duo where they were able to come in and shine right from the start. Those three are 3 of my favorites along with Toe/Davis, Faulk/Mealy(and the dummy), Broussard/Addai, Willliams/Martin.
Robiske was very good but not great. Alexander was a great RB but not the special once in 10-15 years talent that Fournette is. At this point it's safe to declare LF7 the greatest RB to ever wear the purple and gold. It's obvious he is that good. And Guice has greatness in his future. Not Leonard Fournette greatness but greatness nevertheless. Guice most likely really break out until the 2017 season after Leonard is playing on Sundays.
