Dude, his single-season record has stood for 40 years, He's a 2-time All-American and Heisman finalist and he's in the College Football Hall of Fame with Cannon who came 20 years before him. I think it is safe to say that he's clearly at the elite, one-in-a-generation, running back level.

Robiskie was no slouch either. He's the first 1,000 yard back at LSU and the one that broke Cannon's records. It's just that Alexander broke Robiskie's records the very next year.

Not until he owns all the records. He could be hit by a meteor tomorrow. If he lasts another year, he should own all the records, but first he has to actually do it. He certainly is capable of it.

I said Alexander was great but I can't put him in the class with the truly one of a kind RBs like Bo Jackson, Herschel Walker, Barry Sanders, Marcus Allen, ect. We can put Fournette in that class.

Well, I can and so did the Hall of Fame. Whose SEC records did Bo and Hershel break? Alexander does not have to be bad for Fournette to be good, Goober.

You are belaboring the point just for the sake of arguing Gomer. Alexander ranks right up there with the greatest of LSU RB's. Right there with Cannon, Hilliard and Faulk. He deserves to be in the HOF. I never said he was bad Mr Spin. But if Alexander is Batman Fournette is Superman.
