Why is there no discussion of Keith Osik as an assistant coach? 10 years or so as a catcher in the majors and he's now head coach at Farmingdale College (wherever the heck that is). He would bring a lot of big time baseball knowledge to the program. And why not a major league coach or even out of work manager?
Dunno. Good question. But IMO, there's reasons why managers are "out of work"...and more often than not, it's because they haven't done very well, or they're old and retired. Plus, as much as I like having the occassional former Tiger coming back to coach, I don't know if that's always the best thing (to have too many former Tigers as head coaches).
