Any thoughts from any of you?

    I'm thinking we'll be #7.
    Oregon
    Boise
    TCU
    Oklahoma
    Auburn
    Bammer
    LSU

    What do you think? :geaux:

ESPNU the other day showed the first projected BCS rankings... they listed

    1. Boise State
    2. Oregon
Either TCU or tOSU 3rd and 4th cant remember which.
    5. Oklahoma
    6. LSU

I walked in just before they switched to another topic and saw LSU at 6th. But tOSU lost today so...

Playing McNess State will hurt our computer rankings big time...it is basically like not even playing the game. So I expect us to be right at 6 for the first polls

With tOSU losing, us barely moving thr ball... less than 300 yards to McNeese...

I wouldn't be surprised if we were leap frogged and even lost ground to say 8-9. But we'll prolly stick at 6-7 until next week.

Most people expecting Boise State to be #1 in the initial BCS standings.

Two games that could affect that still in progress.

    Oregon State 21 Washington 21 in the 3rd Q
    Hawai'i 17 Nevada 0 late in the 2nd Q

Optimum SOS impact for the Broncos is Oregon State and Nevada winning.

As for LSU, 6 or 7 seems about right, considering what went down today.

How many McNeese's has Boise played? I realize New Mexico State and Toledo are so qualitatively better than McNeese.

That question can be applied to almost any other ranked team.

Ohio State lost today and had Marshall on their schedule.
    Oregon played Portland State.
TCU had the powerhouse Tennessee Tech on their schedule.
    Nebraska played Western Kentucky.
    Oklahoma played mighty Utah State.

Almost every other team ranked ahead of us had a questionable team on their schedule...what hurts our computer rankings will assuredly hurt theirs.

He's speaking of the coaches and Harris polls. This is about right. Look for Michigan state to creep up just behind us and maybe even jump us. Ohio state should fall to 10 with wisconsin at 9. Do the pollsters have enough guts to do the right thing and drop Pansy ass Ohio state 9 spots? Stay tuned.

This initial computer polls (or last weeks computer polls) that had us at around the number 6 spot already had those games factored in. We just played that game this week so it hadnt been factored into our computer rankings. No biggie.
