Easy there big fella. Obama has admitted that he doesn't know if this thing will work, yet the chicken little-ish cries of "we've got to do something" doesn't instill a lot of confidence.
Plus, he delegated the damn thing to Pelosi and her band of freaks and they promptly used the opportunity to make up for a little lost time, what with being the minority party and all for so long. To me, they are pumping 87 octane into the stimulus tank and filling up the pork barrel with premium.

Alot of it was stripped, Pelosi had to compromise, because the shyt she added was pork and she had to back down. Now she is crying foul that Obama had more meetings with Republicans than Democrats. Now just because you say its pork doesnt make it pork. I see that you criticize it alot, but you havent spelled out a solution of your own. If we should leave it alone then we should have let Wall Street and other companies just fail as well.

FDR didnt know if the new deal would work either, but he didnt just let it ride with tax cuts.

Solution? Give everyone who filed a return a $50,000 credit. Buy an American product, turn in proof of payment and get reimbursed. The Automakers and all of their suppliers would be hummin', American electronic manufacturers would be thriving and jobs would be created to meet the demands. It would be The Summer of George.

And the only thing that saved the New Deal was WWII.
