Re: I hope the Raiders don't pick Jamarcus Don't make me do it Sooner..........you know "AD" is owned by one notre dame killer, Anthony Davis. :hihi: I think you might be right though. JR might be better developed elsewhere. The thug mentality that the Raiders have created doesn't seem to fit with JR's personality. Where is Peterson scheduled to go?
Quinn's got somethin' to add I'm just gonna' guess that Hurricane's got some thoughts on these comments from Brady Quinn at the combine today. I don’t understand how some people can say I’m slipping when I haven’t done anything since playing my last game, but yeah being the No. 1 overall pick is a goal of mine. I’d like to play right away in the NFL. Every quarterback wants to step up and play.” “I’m a big believer in fundamentals. You can never be accurate enough,” he said, later adding that he’d tell any NFL general manager that asked why he should be the No. 1 pick that “I’m the most prepared collegiate player in this draft.” Quinn won’t do the physical drills, but came to the Combine to do the medical and mental testing and build relationships.
Re: I hope the Raiders don't pick Jamarcus Come on vball. His ADness (Anthony Davis) may have AD but there is only one "All-Day" Peterson. I would like to see Adrian go to the Broncos (my NFL team) but I don't see him lasting until the 8th pick. The Cleveland and Detroit are high on him as is Houston (after missing out on Bush). Jarmarcus will probably be the #1 - 3 pick. All-Day probably the 2-5 pick.
Re: Quinn's got somethin' to add I've read them earlier. And honestly, there's nothing wrong with what he said. But I think he should know why he slipped, because he pussied out of the Senior Bowl which he should have participated in if he believes he deserves the no. 1 pick. And its true he's the most prepared, but that goes in both ways, an advantage and a dis. Its an advantage to you in your first year since you are prepared, but a disadvantage later since he almost reached his max. And I think he knows it that Russell is a better QB than he is, that's why he didnt get too technical. I saw Stanton from MI State praised Russell, he said he's a great guy who deserves all the attention he's getting.
Re: I hope the Raiders don't pick Jamarcus I dont know but I see him going to the Texans, he'll play along with double D, now DW:grin: , kind of like the colts system.
Re: I hope the Raiders don't pick Jamarcus I'm messin' with you Sooner. With so many other players not performing, what's with Peterson? Will he be working at the combine or waiting for pro-day? Any concerns with the injury?
Re: Quinn's got somethin' to add He obviously must believe JR to be better or he wouldn't have narrowed his comment to simple preparation. I think once scouts take a serious look at his season, they'll see a QB who guided the domers to the Commander in Chief trophy but didn't win the big games. They'll see a QB who was not much more than stagnant in his senior year. He'll be a decent pocket passer in the NFL and he did learn something from both TW and CW but it's really not a surprise if his stock is dropping.
From your finger tips to God's ears. I'll cheer for the guy no matter where he ends up playing, but boy do I hope it's for a franchise in good shape. Plus, I really like the Packers.
