What does Jarrett Lee say to Les Miles at 1030 pm on January 9th?

I love our line but we will not have 7-step time until the 4th quarter when there big uglies are tired like the were on Nov. 5. A whole lot of speed, a whole lot of rotating, and a whole lot of J.C. Copeland leading with Will Blackwell pulling is the key to keeping this thing respectable until the 4th quarter...then unleashing the 8th level of hell.

P.S. The 8th level of hell = you're tired and we're not so it sucks to be you right now.

P.S.S. I do want to see Big Sam get a nice vicious hit on TR to make up for that knee-trucking he took in the first game.

It's unfortunate the way Lee's situation was handled by Les after the Bama game. Lee did have the "deer in the headlights" look in the Bama game. Les should have played Lee more than he did afterward, but feared what would happen if Lee was put under pressure again. But Les can always say he did it that way for the team.
The positive is that Lee has a chance to be part of a championship team. The down side is rarely getting on the field since the Bama game.

I agree. i don't see Les deviating from a winning script. I would love to see some early play action to give JJ some confidence in the passing game. Last game was pretty bad for JJ.

That wasn't the only reason Lee was benched.

There was more to it than Lee skipping classes too.

There was but not talking about on the football field. Remember Miles got the progress reports a few days after the Bama game and the meeting between the two on the subject wasn't peachy.

Thats what I figured, something was said or done behind closed doors that led to this. I can't imagine from CLM's track record that a couple INTs would bench you for that long.

Such causes are the explanation that people like me have wanted to know existed.

I say good on CLM for sticking to principles. You don't go in all cocky to the guy who is holding the keys to your future, especially on a subject where you are clearly in the wrong.

As I noted in all my post ... I would be suprised if CLM benched Lee just for the two ints in the Bama game. It would have been wrong for him to do so. Knowing there were other things behind the scene is all I need to know.

If Lee were to say what the 1st poster says I would not blame him 1 bit, nor would I hold it against him. I am a big Miles fan but he really gave Lee the raw deal.
