Its not about whether JJ is the starter, its about whether he suddenly deserves 100% of meaningful minutes. Huge difference. I have no problem with him starting.
Something like, "Look, coach Miles plays the "best" QB and gives equal opportunity to win the job, all season" "I am going to bust my ass to be the best QB and win that position over my team mates" Something like that I would assume
I see. Fair enough. I actually like Lee a lot. I think it's a sad situation for him. But ultimately I am a fan of the team. And I do believe right now JJ gives us the best chance to win these big games. Lee getting in a few meaningful series. I wouldn't have an issue with that either in the Georgia game. I just don't know where his head is at. If it's in a good place, I hope he gets to play.
We should give JL props though, without him we wouldn't have gone undefeated. He is my MVP, I feel badly for what he has endured here at LSU. I think CLM's has done a very good job of delegating playing time. JL thank you for staying and help bringing an SEC Title and maybe the BCS trophy. The season isn't over, we MAY need him before the season is over. For the record I have said nothing about either QB this year, I don't care who plays, I am just enjoying the Tigers playing as a team and winning no matter who plays!
Absolutely! When it's all said and done, JL can tell his tale, and title it "the year I led LSU to a national championship" Because he did lead this team, along side JJ
Yes, why can't we just go with that. They both led us to the championship. It's certainly going to be true.
I'm of the mind that JL understands that he is, and always has been...THE BACKUP. What he did going 8-0 is commendable. Worthy of MVP honors. But I believe he knew he was keeping the seat warm. See when you're the backup, you understand you're role on the team. JL is that guy. He's never earned a start on the field. He has always started as a result of someone else sucking or being hurt. He didn't beat out Hatch, but Hatch was horrible...then got hurt...so JL had to play. The last two seasons when Lee started, it was because JJ was either hurt or suspended. That's what backups do. When JJ was playing poorly last year, JL came in and provided a spark. That's what backups do. JL is, and always has been, the backup. I think JL understands that. It's high time (heh heh), LSU fans understood that too.
You said one of our players would tell our coach to f*** off after what could be the best season in school history. How do you expect us to react? Oh and you chose to post this after Jordan Jefferson played the best game of his career to cap a PERFECT regular season. What difference does it make which quarterback plays? They both want to win a title and that is ALL that matters.
