1. Re: Bring dem boys in!!

Man we need to bring the whole house in on john parker early in the game. Give ol saban a taste of his own medicine. it seems like we hardly ever blitz with a D that has the potential to be a devistating blitz crew. I mean even when we only rush 3 or 4 we usually have no problem breaking through so damnit lets bring the house more!!!

  2. Re: Bring dem boys in!!

Unfortunately our front 4 have not been getting any pressure on the QB's even though the last two have been pocket passers. So I think we blitz a little more this week since there is a longer time to prepare. Although I've been saying that since after the Florida game.

I think we will have a safety shaded to help on Hall, but I hope there is more blitzing, especially from the corner. Wilson is one of those guys that can get shaken up by the blitz and getting hit several times, of course most QB's do.
  3. Exactly, thats why we need to get to him early. and i see DJ as the only true threat to us if we blitz heavy.
  4. Keys to the passing game: stretch the field - send early deep, hell send Holliday deep early and often. That will open up the short game. We can exploit the middle of the field with quick slants and tight end routes.

But for the love of all that's holy catch the ball tigers!
  5. you might see DJ as the only true threat, be we do have other good receivers, scouts honor.
  6. Ill see your other good receivers and raise you LSU's many good corners. Dj is the only man with the true breakaway ability. he's to John parker as Early is to Matt Flynn--only Flynn is more consistant.
  7. wrong again, Keith Brown, Stover and Oakley are the ones with break away power. DJ is our go up and get it kind of guy, if you'll check his stats you'll see that he has very few yards after catch. Now if JPW can get the ball to Keith Brown in stride you'll never catch him.

wtf is wrong with people? :hihi:
  9. From a defensive perspective Bama will give Flynn a lot of different pre snap looks then many times will change right before the snap. It worked pretty well against Tennessee forcing Ainge to audible into plays he didn't need to. We do not have the depth or size on the defensive line to "control" the LOS so we have to use other ways to get an advantage. Sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't. However, our two CB's are top notched SEC caliber corners. In the UT game Kareem Jackson did something that many seasoned veterans have a hard time doing and that's "bait" the qb into thinking he was beat on a deep post and then under cut the route and got Int and then another one later in the game. Then we have Castille who is a senior who's been around the block a few times. He's solid on the other side.

But our "nail" in the coffin is going to be if LSU lines up and just old school power runs us. We do not have an answer for that due to our undersized DL and depth issues. UT started off doing it but had to get out of it when Bama's offense started rolling up the points.

Our only shot is to force LSU to catch us in points and make y'all pay for every mistake with TD's, not fg's.
