after last year? the barner's by a mile. the mississippi will flow backwards, the sun will refuse to shine, and tight-wad terry will become a contributor before the gumps beat the Tigers.
I think it's safe to say Alabama, by a landslide. I agree w/ you on S Carolina. Spurrier owned LSU while at Florida, would have been a strong candidate for the LSU gig had youknowwho had jumped to Miami a little earlier than he did, and loves-loves-loves to play big-name teams in big-name games. He came thisclose to going 2-0 against Florida the past 2 years and gave Georgia all it could handle in 2005. Yes, I think S Carolina is definitely a game to watch closely this year.
I'm with red on this one. I wouldn't mind losing to Barners because I <3 all of the airport employees that post here, and I wouldn't mind losing to USC cause at least I'd get to go to the game with vball, so... Va Tech. God bless their campus and their community, but we really really really need to win that one.
Had we ONLY lost to AU last year, we would have likely been in the MNC game thumping tOSU. The early loss in '03 didn't stop us, either. I totally agree that VT is the most critical game for reasons I stated in my earlier post, but I don't think losing that game keeps us out of the MNC game...plus I just like disagreeing with Red!!:hihi:
1. Bama -- As mentioned, the media would be relentless. 2. VT-- A crushing early blow to our hopes for the season. Plus I have always disliked their program.
I have hated them since we played them a couple years ago because every 45 seconds, the announcer would say that this game is the largest crowd to attend a football game in the state of Virginia, and it was only like 65,000, when once would have been enough but he kept saying it like it was really impressive and since then I have hated them, oh and also because any VT game they have to say that Beamer is the greatest special teams coach of all time and frankly i don't give a ****! But losing to Alabama would be the worst not only because of Saban but also because they aren't suppose to be that good, whereas a lose to Auburn, Florida or Arkansas could be absorbed easier and we could possibly still go to the NC
