I thought the point of BCS was to have 1 game for the undisputed National Championship.

My question is, which poll determines the National Championship?

I thought that is what the BCS did, but they just said that the coaches and AP writers didn't have to vote for the BCS winner. So what decides the National Championship?

What happens if LSU and USC both win?

LSU would be #1 in the BCS, but we could possibly still be #2 in the coaches and AP poll.

    Is that a split championship?

yep split national title is what you're looking it

UNLESS LSU blows out OU and USC plays a tight game with Michigan

it's okay though b/c Michigan is gonna whip up on USC

I don't necessarily think so. I think USC/Michigan will be an awesome game. USC's run D vs. Chris Perry (strength on strength) and USC's pass game vs. Michigan pass D (another strength on strength). I think it's definitely a great matchup that could go either way.

If USC wins, regardless of Sugar Bowl's outcome, we're having a split national title folks.

I wish it didn't have to happen this year, but I like it that the BCS is having trouble. I WANT A PLAYOFF!

Maybe we can do away with the BCS then.

this is the thing that wasn't suppose to happen.

I don't like sharing a tiltle with anyone.....
much less a pac 10 team

We can call it the USC rule and do away with it.

LSU only needs 8 AP voters to switch their vote to LSU for us to take over #1 spot. An impressive victory by LSU and a lackluster victory by USC would give LSU #1 in the AP in my opinion.

LSU National Champs....treat this like a buffet....there will be no sharing

So then, does the AP poll decide the National Champion?

If so, what is the BCS for?

I dont think it matters how USC wins, if they do the idiot writers will give it to them regardless of our game. Bottom line, USC MUST LOSE...MUST...MUST...MUST! End of story!

If LSU or OU win the Sugar they will be #1 in the Coaches poll. The AP is not obligated to vote the winner of the Sugar Bowl as number 1, so there could be split NC if USC wins the Rose Bowl.

It will and should be split. How nice would it be to see LSU and USC play for the title, OU aren't even conf champs. Yes, they are awesome but SC and LSU delivered last night
