I think he is referring to the buyout being reduced to $13 million if LSU waits until New Years. The problem is that everything stays in limbo for another month and it hurts recruiting. Also, the coaching carousel won't wait for LSU.

 

If they wait until new years we might end up with Mullen. Do it and do it now, you're all in already, get it done.

 

I agree, I'm just saying it would be better for all parties if Miles played ball. Do I think he will? No, I don't.

 

We're currently the laughing stock of most of the sports world. Wait until January and they will be rolling in the aisles laughing.

 

Why should he? It is what it is, it's Alleva's job to get it done.

 

And that scares the hell out of me.

 

It should, but you never know. At least we know he's looking early and not waiting until every good coach is scooped up.

What everyone is forgetting is this buyout is roughly 2 mil a year for 8 years. Which is what they will do. Remember LSU gets around 30 mil a year from the SEC Network alone. The buyout is chump change to them.
