1. All pro-style, with proven QB development skills with the emphasis that defense wins championships. That is LSU's DNA. I would take this coach so fast.

  3. I like that idea if they want to retain any semblance of La. Connections.

While in theory this may sound good, his wife will NEVER move to Baton Rouge, or Denham Springs, or Walker, or Watson, or anywhere else close.
  4. Regular season, 4. If you are making it about pro style vs spread attack? Aggies, the barn, ole miss (2)
  5. Yup, I get the Trent comment....coming to LSU from Stanford..... this wouldn't even be a tread if it had been Jim Hardballs making the move.....
Shaw would be perfect....imagine...LSU with pro style QB's..... hello!

  6. They were saying Shaw on game day Saturday. Mentioned one of the SEC teams would most likely end up with him.

  7. I can't say much about that. With Hurts we're 90% spread concept. We shall see.
  8. Pro style QB? Are they still legal?
  9. Well, since we are no longer a top 5 program, that might be perfect...

  10. I'm on the Herman or bust train, but that's more than likely a pipe dream, altho weirder things have happened I guess. But if Herman for whatever reason isn't the next HC at LSU, I'd be all in for Shaw. There might be a few bumps in the road the first couple of seasons as he gets his recruits in place, but I could see him bringing the swagger back to LSU.

I also think a Shaw type hire could keep most of the already committed kids in place, and possibly bring in a few other names not on the radar now. Miles Brennen under Shaw could be a sleeping giant.
