i lived in broussard hall for years (next to kirby smith). it wasnt unusual to hear gunshots in the distance. never had any problems though. well, i was smart enough to always leave my car unlocked so i wouldnt have to pay for window replacements after every away game.
An arrest has been made in the Auburn girl's case. www.foxnews.com If you think there aren't some really sick people in the country, check this out: www.godhatesfags.com Click on Picket Schedule at the top of the page. If any of you are Baptists, I hope you will have your minister report these idiots. I'm not slamming Baptists because I grew up in the Baptist Church and most of my family are still Baptists. These idiots may be rogue Baptists but decent Baptist churches need to take action. By the way, the Auburn girl was not gay but was Jewish so she falls under the hate umbrella for thes efolks.
Westboro Baptist are some of the most vile people on this earth. They have protested soldier funerals and like in hopes for a confrontation in order to file lawsuits. It is how they make money as the leadership are lawyers. Local car clubs got together a few years ago when they threatened to protest a local soldiers funeral. 50 Muscle cars revving while they tried to spew their crap would have been fun. Too bad they didn't show.
I agree 100%, they actually disgust me. And doing anything to degrade a person at their funeral is horrible, but doing so to a soldier's funeral is utterly attrocious.
All that needs to be done is get a few guys with hoods to show up, beat the livin crap out of them and skip- they'd never find out who did it.
That is funny, TB3. It is not just BR. I was in Memphis one night staying at the Holiday Inn Crowne Plaza downtown - real nice place. I decided that 6 bucks a beer in the hotel bar was a little steep, and drove 3 blocks east to an Exxon store for a 6 pack. As soon as I drove up a guy accosted me about washing my windshield - he did not take "no thank you" very well, expressing his displeasure all the way to the door. I was a little worried about my car, so I rushed to the cooler, grabbed my 6 pack, and turned around. I quickly noticed I was the only one in the store who was not behind bullet-proof glass. I won't be shopping after dark in Memphis again.
oooooh. yep, you shoulda asked someone where to go. lived in Memphis for years and would love to move back, but there are places you dont want to go at night.
