I think they are trying to keep pace with the population. More an more people are getting AR's etc. I just got one.

I read something yesterday about local police forces getting decommisioned Mine Resistant Ambush Proof vehicles or MWRAPs. They are 50,000 pound, six wheel drive, ten foot tall death mobiles. Totally un-necessary for 99% of municipalities.

But this para-military build up isn't just at the local level. Federal agencies are increasing the fire power possessed by their enforcement arms. IRS investigators are carrying well more than side-arms these days. They are packing more like the Untouchables.

This is so way over the top. Are gangs resorting to IED's these days?

I dunno, but maybe the extra height makes it easier for em to shoot people's dogs.

Naa, they don't need mine-resistant vehicles, they are just cheap army surplus armored trucks that they can bash gates and get in close with. Lots of life left in them, shame to scrap them, but they are definite overkill for Barney and Andy. Still, it keeps them from asking for tracks and artillery.

They may have a right to be mad, and they may be RIGHT IN BEING mad; however, aggressive behavior towards officers like that is unacceptable. When black people do that we often hear, "They're like animals." When white people do that many feel like it's legit opposition to oppression. Take it to court.

Having said that, “When a man is denied the right to live the life he believes in, he has no choice but to become an outlaw.”

In the video, one of them got tazed in the back. Meaning, they were walking away.

I dunno, if someone came on my land and started taking shit, I can't say I would just let them in and be nice.. Thats just me. Race has nothing to do with it.
