From a purely selfish LSU fan standpoint, I want the game to be rescheduled on Nov. 6, not to make Auburn's life hell (LSU, Ga, ALA backtobacktoback) but to help LSU win it's own games. Spread out that AU, Ga., Fla threesome a little bit and I like LSU's chances of winning the West that much better. I know this isn't the weather-related thread, but current projections all seem to call for two things after the Thursday landfall (wherever that may be): 1-Big slowdown in forward speed/motion and 2-Fairly sharp turn to the NE, then E, then SE All 5 of the current computer models show this "curly q" turn, with two showing the remnants of this big storm hovering near Auburn Fri-Sat-Sun. http://www.wunderground.com/tropical/tracking/at200409_model.html In other words, if that happens, SE Alabama will see massive rainfall totals, severe thunderstorms and tornados. Even Tubby won't want to play in that mess, I imagine, though the SEC wouldn't give him the option if this comes to pass.
yep as of now there is no rain projected til that mean monster hits land. Sure hope it doesnt veer West. Seems to have straightened out already which is good for us. Sure, its best for us to divide up those road games. Also, AU already has the power of veto from the NCAA....
No problem. Im trying to get as many posts in as I can. I may not have internet access for long. Ive got my video camera charged up, though. Maybe I can get some good shots.
Um, alot of Auburn fans are facing the same situation. Contrary to what you might believe, this isn't an effort to slight LSU fans.
I voted to move it to Nov 6 becuase unlike Tommy Tuberville, I am not an idiot. If I were him: I would be sympathetic to the hard times people of the state of Alabama will likely be going through over the next few days, even weeks. I would be wise enough to know that it won't be "just two days of rain". I would realize it is disrepectful to play a football game when most of the state will likely be in shambles. Most of all, I would be very concerned about my own family and the families of those associated with the Auburn football program. With that all being said I am so freaking sick of hearing from Aubarn fans that I truly wish conditions would be ideal for football come this weekend. It's time to play this game and get them out of our hair. A two month delay is only going to mean two more months of the same ole crap from them!
You can get your wish at a neutral site. It's the most reasonable answer. The problem with it is where do you play next year's LSU/Auburn game.
If the game gets called just run a NASCAR replay and tell the Aubies that Stone Cold Steve Austin said to shut their traps...
Game is going to be cancelled ... just ****ing nuts to think this game can be played ... you'd expect an azzclown Barner like Wesfau to mimic Tubby's position Again, any folks below I-12 ... and due north of lake Pontchartrain get ready for two weeks of water needs ... lotsa canned food and no power ... for who knows how long could be a major disaster ... pray now if you're gonna stay **** the FB game ... save your women and children ... we'll tee it up next weekend ... we can kick the Barners azz anytime
