Re: What is your prediction/guess/hope/expectation of the LSU QB situation next seaso That is true. In fact, the law that allows home schooled children to compete in sports at local public schools in commonly called the "Tebow Rule", or something like that. The fact that he was home schooled might explain the 3.5 GPA, too.:hihi:
Re: What is your prediction/guess/hope/expectation of the LSU QB situation next seaso Right, Bradshaw's ACT/SAT scores were so low that LSU couldn't even take him, he had to go to La. Tech. But Bradshaw played in the NFL decades ago, back before the game got as sophisticated as it is today. After Bradshaw retired, was it possible that anyone recruited him to be an NFL offensive coordinator (rather than an entertainer talking-head like Jerome Bettis and Dion Sanders)? What about Peyton Manning -- when he retires, do you think it is possible than anyone will recruit him to be an NFL offensive coordinator?
Re: What is your prediction/guess/hope/expectation of the LSU QB situation next seaso Bradshaw called his own plays and did fairly well. Book intelligence and football intelligence do not always correlate, sometimes they likely do. Brett Farve probably didn't set any records in the classroom either.
Re: What is your prediction/guess/hope/expectation of the LSU QB situation next seaso Football sense is an entirely different animal from book sense. Now, intelligence always helps, but football is very instinctive, and a guy is either a natural athlete or he's not. Vince Young isn't going to write the great American novel, either, but he can play ball. And don't give me this notion that "football is so much more complex" now.
Re: What is your prediction/guess/hope/expectation of the LSU QB situation next seaso You are dreaming, ace. Bradshaw was the best quarterback of his era and has four Super Bowl Championship rings to show for it. The game was plenty sophisticated. He could run, he could pass, he could read defenses, call his plays, and he could damn well manage an offense. Tell me this. Why would any retired NFL millionaire hall-of-famer be interested in a high-stress $350,000 OC job when he could have a low-stress $2.5 million sportscaster job with lots of celebrity perks? Get real, his choice of jobs has nothing to do with his capability as an smart offensive analyst. He does good analysis and he has charisma, which is important on TV.
Re: What is your prediction/guess/hope/expectation of the LSU QB situation next seaso for all his detractors, there's nothing dumb about ole Terry! :yelwink2:
