    6-5 would be... horrible.

I just can't see that happening.

However, no way we let Miles go after one season unless he has a losing season - even then, Skip isn't going to want to let him go just yet.

1 - 1 does it for me, but...I think he lasts 2 - 3 years. He'll offer Bo and a couple more assistant's heads on a silver platter to save his skin at the end of the year. That's the way the game works. The only way I see he might be gone after one year is if we lose two out of three against MSU, Vandy, and Ole Miss.

This week's game is similar to last year's MSU/FL game. A talented, poorly coached team goes into Starkville emotionally down. That's what has me worried. Croom is one of those guy's I think will beat somebody every year. If they don't give up big plays and force us to drive the field, there's a good chance we'll self destruct before we get to the endzone. That's what poorly coached teams do, and that's what we are right now. There is a big gap in talent between the two teams, hopefully that's enough to get it done.

We go to Vandy in what may be the biggest game in their history (not that up on my Vandy history so I'm not sure on that one). They've got a great qb and are fundamentally sound. One thing I've noticed about them is they tackle very well, so we'll have to drive the field on them. Hopefully Les and his staff will turn into SEC caliber coaches before we get there, or it may be a long day.

Ole Miss is Ole Miss. For whatever reason, it will go down to the wire just like every other year. Les vs. Coach O; what a joke, only it hurts too much to laugh.

Personally, I've got nothing against the guy, but Les has shown me nothing that gives me any reason to have confidence right now. I'd have probably felt better about it had we lost 30 - 10 or so against UT vs. blowing a 21 - 0 lead to a mediocre SEC offense, which is what they are. They were allowed to drive the field because of poor coaching and penalties, which are themselves a result of poor coaching. Looks like Les is bringing back Dinardo's magic. :(

We should be 0-2 right now. If it wasn't for SPTeams and bad play by ASU on SPTeams, we would have lost.

Our defense was crap at ASU, it was crap in the 2nd half of UT and could've been really bad in the 1st half if Ainge could the side of a barn.

Our offense was OK at ASU, but against UT, it was not very good at all.

Our TD's came from turnovers, one directly and the other 2 put us down close to the UT endzone. The offense never drove the ball consistently. So relying on our offense to pull out the game against good teams, because the defense is not getting it done, will not be an advised way to go.

In reality we lost the ASU game and we should be 0-2. Turnovers have given most of our TD's and scoring opportunities. That is what bothers me. It is not the great play of offense or defense that is giving us most of our scores but it is mistakes my the other teams. You will not be in the NC hunt if you rely on that.

LSU is on track to be a consistent national power going forward; the administration is getting emails, calls etc. from many high dollar funding alumni expressing their total lack of confidence in Miles, Pelini etc. I do not expect Miles to be around next year as his lack of leadership and system will not be a formula to win in the Southeastern conference or compete for a National Championship. I'm sure that Skip is looking at the coaching landscape so that we can make a change before Miles can damage this program anymore. Miles is "dead man" walking at this point!

I'd be willing to bet you anything in the world that Miles will be coaching next year, no matter what happens this year.

Let me know if you want to make the bet ... I need some Xmas money!

Since the question has been asked...Florida, Auburn and Alabama are the only teams left on the sched that can beat LSU, so anything less than, say, an 8-3 is sickening. I mean, losing to the above 3 would give LSU a 1-4 record against good to great teams, and given the talent on hand, that's a joke should it happen.

I doubt any of you would disagree, but if so, name another team (and don't say Vandy).

The problem I have with some people is that they say give it time, it is a new system, new offense, new defense, and new style of defense.

Then you look around at the likes of Charlie Weis and Urban Meyer, bringing the wealth of plays and schemes to a new team. The teams go out and perform well. Look at Florida's stats. It's not just the offense working for these teams either. Florida is #1 in defense in the SEC and their defense wasn't supposed to be good. LSU was supposed to be spectacular on both sides of the ball, hence our rankings and potential and depth at all positions.

Face it we have a mediocre HC and DC. It is time we expect mediocrity from them whick will be a 3 or 4 loss season.

A 3 loss season should be unacceptable to the national power program that LSU has. It's amazing how Weiss and Meyer can teach their teams untolds amounts of plays and schemes which are more complicated than the crap LSU has been running. Plus their defenses are good, well Florida's is really good apparently.

With all that said I'm still willing to see how they respond in the next 2 games. If MSU puts 400 yds on LSU, I will be so mad that I will....will...will...CRY:cry:

If Miles had a losing season that would be a serious problem imo.

Let's just say for some unknown reason any of us were granted the opportunity to coach LSU for the rest of this season.

If we went down and just said to the players...."Hey guys, just do what you want and I'll stay out of the way. JaMarcus, you call the plays. Addai, you're our starter. We'll give you a breather every now and then with Carey and Vincent. Same with some on defense. Just let me know when you're tired, I'll run some other guys in till you're ready. Whoever the captain on defense is, you call the plays. If we get up big, Ryan and Matt you guys get some turns, etc."

Wouldn't you think with this talent we would end up with a winning season?

I don't believe for a minute Miles will have a losing season but if he did wouldn't that be pretty damn serious?
