Re: Cocks opinions of LSU fans.

The way to stop name calling is not to do it yourself.............hopefully others will follow you and grow up also.

They are pretty hot in Carolina

I got hammered on the Digital Perch board when I suggested that the complaining USC fans might be too sensitive and were exaggerating a bit. They just don't understand LSU gameday. They were impressed with the fan support and noise in Tiger Stadium, but I guess they thought that fans just turn it on like a light switch at gametime. They don't realize that Tiger fans work themselves up to that game frenzy with a lot of Tigerbait taunts. USC fans are laid back and don't have a lot of swagger. Their feelings were hurt.

I know we have some drunk pr!cks that we have to avoid too. But Cockfans are saying things like:

    1. "60,000 out of 90,000 LSU fans are a$$holes"
    2. "we were afraid for our lives"
    3. "people threw things at us and the police ignored it."

This kind of comment is just baloney! In 30 years I've never seen 60,000 a$$holes or visitors afraid for their lives! And we all know that the cops just LIVE to catch somebody throwing something so they can drag his sorry ass out.

The Cockfans are kind of sensitive, guys. That's all I can figure. They don't have the tough hides that Florida, Ole Piss and Auburn fans have.

Hey everyone lets let this die. All the USC fans here have been great people. Lets not escalate this thing.

You are correct, I sit in section 5 and I have never seen anything thrown at people. Ever. i have seen Police escort out many a LSU fan for simply being loud at opposing teams.

I dont think our women "Hit USC fans in the back of the head" as one claims. Did that nor every have. Yes some of the stories are flat out silly.

But lets not make this worse by calling names. Look, we have some bad fans. USC has some fans that seem to be embellishing a bit. Lets call it a day with the LSU bad fans routine. 90,000 of us are great, we have sorry ones like everyone else. We need to work on our guys.
    Let USC work on theirs.
All the USC people here this week have been great and hope they return all season to enjoy SEC football with us.
I had a great time with many a USC fan, and hope to in the future great people there...

    Don't think there's a problem, but....

maybe we could create an outlet for opposing visitors to feel more welcome. After all, I think most of us want others to enjoy their experience and look forward to seeing Tiger Stadium again. How about a spot near the stadium in an easily identifiable location? Could give info like a campus map, Tiger Stadium rules (no umbrellas, etc.), LSU Gameday rituals, post-game traffic advice, and relay information about what their school has going on for the day like meeting places and such. Also, recommended restaurants, casinos, etc.

This is just a thought, not sure if feasible. I know it's good to be on the road with Tiger fans but sometimes you don't know everything that's going on. I think something like this would be greatly appreciated by our SEC opponents. Although I won't be able to make the Auburn game, I would love to go with my FRIENDS. However, I would hesitate to take my wife and children (when I have them) because of the past history in the series. I hope other fans never feel like our place is somewhere that you "leave the wife and kids at home."

I don't have the time to implement something like this. If you want to steal my idea, go with it. It would be easy to spread the word, these forums are great (especially this one).

    pudding - everyone likes pudding

let's have a place where the opponents can help themselves to all the pudding they can eat. Chocolate pudding!!

    Man, pudding is good.
