What was W ritten on the board in the LSU locker room?

    Does anyone know the quote that was written on the board in the LSU locker room?

    It said 4 QUARTERS OF MEAN, NASTY, TOUGH ASS FOOTBALL

    Thanks I knew that I had read it on here and I just couldnt remember what it said.

    Does anybody know who wrote it? I read most of the article, I just dont recall it citing the writer of that lovely poem.

    No, it never said who had written it on there, I assumed it was one of the coaches. The article only said that KW was sitting in the locker room, taking it all in, and looked at the dry erase board where that was written. I'd like to know myself......I loved it!!

    The T-P attributed it to one of the defensive linemen, but I don't recall which one. It was in one of the articles in Sunday's paper.

    This was in Stewart Mandels Sports Illustrated column......I read several articles that had it quoted but none of them specified exactly who put it there. If you find out for sure, let me know.


    Miles addressed reporters afterward in the same room the coaches address their troops before they takes the field. Scrawled on a dry-erase board in the far corner were someone's simple pregame directive: "Four quarters of mean, nasty tough-ass football."
